The place is the confluence of Dick’s Creek and Twelve Mile Creek in St. Catharines ON and the lands directly below the new First Ontario Performing Arts Centre and the Brock University’s Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts; a site rich in cycles of wilderness, industry, abandonment and reclamation.
Video and audio generated from the Confluence Field Trips walking project formed the basis of an exhibition of the same name at the Brock University Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts Gallery, January 7-29, 2016 as part of Imagining the City. Click here for documentation of the exhibition on my main site.
The project also informs The Whole Shebang Niagara by Dreamwalker Dance Company – April 22 + 23, First Ontario Performing Arts Centre. The artist would like to thank Andrea Nann and Dreamwalker Dance Company for support during the research and development of this website.
